As much as I appreciate The Atlantic – since they started to use all these cryptic graphics and are overdoing it big time, I often decide NOT to read a story. Is that what they were trying to achieve? I doubt it.
Of course I know they are trying to establish a picture language (»Bildsprache« in German), but frankly – it does not work. But maybe that is just me, the old-school newsdesk-grunt.
